Bambi (1942): Woodland Animation and Disney Collector History
Explore the 1942 animated Bambi and the woodland characters that continue to appear in Disney keepsakes.
A moment in Disney history
Disney's Bambi premiered in 1942, following a young deer through the changing seasons of the forest.
Why fans remember it
Bambi, Thumper, and Flower are recognizable across figurines, plush, ornaments, and illustrated books, often with soft woodland colors.
Collector's perspective
For an era-based collection, distinguish early promotional materials from later anniversary pieces. A classic-looking sculpt alone does not prove an early production date.
